It’s pretty amazing to wake up to the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from your bedroom windows without having to take your head off the pillow! The rooms are stylishly decorated and very comfortable and cozy, each with a gas fireplace. The breakfast is hearty and delicious. In short, if you want to pamper yourself, this is the place for you! It would also be a wonderful venue for a family reunion. Recommended for: Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway, Wedding Destination

The grounds with the sculptures and trails lend itself to a glorious day. I hiked to the spiritual labyrinth near the old spring house when I was there and I won’t soon forget it. Nina, the Innkeeper, is peaceful and kind and available if anything would come up. Nothing did during my stay. Wintersun is a short drive into Asheville if you feel the need….Asheville is always great. I can’t wait to return because it’s a place that feels like (thank you Nina) home. Recommended for: Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Commitment Ceremony

My partner and I were in search of the perfect place to have a commitment ceremony after going to D.C. to legally marry, we went to several locations and were about to give up when we heard about the Inn at Wintersun. We made an appointment with Nina over the phone and then went to the Inn to see what we thought. From the breath taking drive up to the Inn, we were already taken aback! All of a sudden you are in the middle of beautiful grounds and a grand structure known as the Inn appears…wow was all we could say!! We met with Nina and knew this tranquil paradise was where we would have our ceremony! Everything from the catering, to Nina the Innkeeper’s attention to every detail and making sure all went perfect!! We could not have asked for more! We stayed the night in the lavish suite the night before the ceremony and enjoyed the comfort and beauty of the Inn. Restaurants and grocery stores are within a few miles of the Inn. We are so pleased with our entire experience at the Inn at Wintersun, that we will be back and have plans of spending our anniversaries there for many years to come!
